Free Accommodation for Devotees

Free accommodation facilities are provided to the devotees at Kalai Arangam, Vasantha Mandapam, Thirupani Mandapam and Thiruvaduthurai Atheenam Sashti Mandapam.

Drinking Water Facilities

Drinking water facilities have been provided to the devotees by laying pipelines from Kuranganthattu, Ammanpuram village, Tiruchendur Taluk at a cost of Rs. 1.04 crore from the temple’s fund. Also, pipelines have been laid from the overhead water tank constructed near Theppakulam for the benefit of devotees.

Mineral Water

Recently, the Temple Administration has arranged for the supply of mineral water to the devotees.

This facility has been sponsored by a devotee at the following sites:

4.Inside the temple premises

Drainage and Toilet

There are 3 free toilets near the temple premises.

Footwear Stands

Stands for safe keeping of footwear are provided near the following places:

1. Near Shanmugha Vilas

2. Near Nazhikinaru entrance

3. Near Kalai Arangam (Auditorium)

Dress Changing Rooms

There are separate changing rooms for men and women near Nazhikinaru. Additionally, one more changing room has been constructed near Deivanai Illam for ladies.

Police Station

There is a separate police station for Tiruchendur Temple. During festival season, additional outpost police stations function near the seashore for the safety and security of pilgrims.

Tonsure Centre

The tonsure shed is available near the Nazhikinaru for devotees to perform tonsures.

Ear piercing

The shed for kaadhukuthu or ear piercing is located near Shanmugha Vilasa Mandapam.

The following are some choultries or inns maintained by the temple for the use of the pilgrims:

Queue System

Separate queue systems have been arranged for free darshans and special darshans and elaborate arrangements have been made for convenient worship.

Canteen Facilities

Two canteens function from inside the temple premises. To provide quality food for the pilgrims, the canteens have been let to contractors, subject to temple rules. Several private hotels operate from outside the temple premises.

Annathanam Plan

The temple also provides free mid-day meals to people through the Annathanam Plan in the Ramco Mandapam. Devotees can participate in this plan by providing donations.
