The Kumbabishegam of Arulmigu Subramania Swamy Temple was performed on 9.7.1995.

Thirunavukkarasar, who lived during the 7th century A.D has stated ''Nam Senthil Meya Valli Manavalar Thathai Kandai''. The cave temple might have been constructed during this period.

Melagopuram
Since Adi Sankarar has mentioned the cave temple in his Tiruchendur Subramania Pujangam this temple might have been constructed prior to his period. The inscription in the temple shows that Varaguna Pandiyan II performed poojas and festivals during the 9th century A.D.  
Rajagopuram

Inscriptions also show that Pandiyan Maravarman helped in conducting poojas during the 13th centruy A.D. Inscriptions talk about the donations given by Marthandavarman in 18th century A.D. In 1648 A.D the incident of looting by Dutch pirates took place. During this time the Nayakars ruled the place. Even now, we can see the colour paintings of the Nayakar era in the sixth stage of the Raja Gopuram. Inscriptions mention about the donations given by Marthandavarman during 18th century A.D. 

Desika Moorthy Swami of Thiruvaduthurai Aadeenam 
About 300 years ago, with efforts taken by Desika Moorthy Swami of Thiruvaduthurai Aadeenam, the temple towers were consecrated. By 1920 A.D many constructions have been built around the temple.
Mauna Swami
During 19th century, when the temple was renovated with granite work, Mauna Swami constructed the Vasantha Mandapam. He also participated in the renovation of Shanmuga Vilasa Mandapam.
Shanmuga Vilasam 
Shanmuga Vilasam has 124 pillars with sculptures. People observe fasting in this sea breeze filled place to cure their ailments.
Vasantha Mandapam 
The construction work of Vasantha Mandapam was commenced by Kasi Swami during 1882. This Mandapam includes 120 pillars and an elevated podium in the middle, in which Senthilandavar is placed during festivals. Around the Mandapam there is a stone trough, which is filled with cool water during Vasantham festival. This Mandapam was constructed by Mauna Swami during 1895.   Shanmuga-vilasam
Ananda Vilasam 
It is believed that Lord Muruga looked at Veeramahendra Puram of Surapadman from the place where Ananda Vilasam is built. 
Sasti Mandapam
Sasthi Mandapam Sasti Mandapam was constructed by Thiruvaduthurai Aadeenam during the year 1971.
White Stone Mandapam 

White Stone Mandapam was constructed opposite to Shanmuga Vilasam in the year 1938. 

Valliammai Cave

Researchers are of the view that this could have been constructed between 7th and 9th century A.D. This Cave is situated 15 meters away from Giri Prakaram. Idumban temple was constructed in 1959 and Sasti Viradha (fasting) Mandapam was constructed during 1981. 

Sea Gopuram
Thoondugai Vinayagar Temple
The name is derived from the fact that Lord Vinayagar in this temple invokes devotees to visit his brother Murugan.
